Old Trafford

This is me with bunch of friends in front of Manchester United home ground at Old Trafford. Take a inside look in the picture.

Windsor Castle

Its called official residence of Queen of England - oldest 'live' residential castle in the world. When you see it, you get mesmerized by its beauty and finish. Though many Marathi Forts (Gad aani Kille) are much stronger (thats what I feel) than this castle, brits had money to spend to make it beautiful (and they charge hefty £15 as entry fee now as well).
You appreciate grandeur and elegance in this castle - as well as see many 'acquired' (read between lines as 'looted') things like Tipu sultan's collection of swords, his golden tiger any many such things from all over the world.

The famous Big Ben - upclose

This clock is at too high in the sky to appreciate its beauty... so zoom on my digicam came handy. Here is a close look. See the fine art work and golden shine.

Welcome to London

Its been ages I have posted anything on the blog. [:)]. A lot has changed from my last post ... I am out of US ... been to India and now in London, UK. As soon as I landed here, I got a chance to see the most beautiful thing in London - the Tower Bridge. Here is a small glimpse of that. And yes, it still opens and closes - like the way it was designed when built in 1894. Like me, many people wrongly call it London Bridge - which in fact is next bridge upstream and is without any 'towers' and is not a suspension bridge at all!!!
